Getting to Know Pat and Joe Hilton
ROUND DANCE TEACHING & CUEING
Pat and Joe learned to Round Dance while Joe was stationed in Germany with the
U.S. Army. In 1994 they went back to class to relearn the basics and advance into
higher level dancing.
Pat started cueing rounds in late 1997, and in 1999 they taught their first Round Dance
class. As members of the International Choreographed Ballroom Dance Association
(ICBDA), they have served on the Board of Directors as well as fulfilling the duties of
numerous convention management positions. They have also served as members of
the ROUNDALAB Board of Directors.

Joe and Pat cue for many square dance clubs throughout the St. Louis area. They
have cued, exhibited, and taught at local, state, national, and international events. They
also enjoy choreographing round dances and have choreographed many dances at
various phase levels.
Joe is retired from the US Army and The Boeing Corporation. Pat is retired from the
Department of Defense. Although they are native Texans, they have lived in the St.
Louis, Missouri area for many years. They spend most of their travel time attending
dance conventions and taking dance classes.
They love dancing in all its forms and enjoy their membership in various Square and
Round Dance organizations.
